Other Injuries

Other injuries are evaluated to assess if cattle have a comfortable and safe environment. 

Which animals to assess:

Using the "Everywhere" ​criteria, every pen, including the hospital, will be observed.

How to assess:

Observe all pens for score 3 injuries on other areas of the body not previously scored.

It is useful to create a reference for the measurements listed in the scores below (1" or 2.5 cm), such as a quarter.

Score 3: Severe​

Any open wound or swelling greater than 1" or 2.5 cm in height
