Ocular Discharge ​


Presence of ocular discharge can be used as a reflection of disease or sickness on a farm. While discharge can also be caused by environmental conditions, perpetual signs of discharge could be indicative of a larger health problem and should lead to further analysis. For more indicators of health and disease, see "Other."

  • Evidence of current or previous fluid draining from the eye
  • Can be wet or dry
  • With a length greater than or equal to 3/4" or 2 cm​

​It is useful to create a reference for the measurements listed in the scores below (1" or 2.5cm), such as a quarter.
