Evidence that this protocol is being followed on the farm will be checked during the audit by interviewing an employee who performs these procedures and by visual confirmation that farm practices are consistent with the SOP.
- Euthanasia method: gun, captive bolt, or approved solution (primary and secondary method needed if different)
- Plan to confirm death and repeat euthanasia method if necessary
- Method of deadstock removal that is consistent with local regulations
