Some observations are made everywhere. Facility-based measures, abbreviated as "METAL," are evaluated in EVERY pen. Management-based measures are recorded if they are seen anywhere across the farm.
How to Score
Some of these metrics reflect critical criteria, including access to water, tail docking, acts of abuse or neglect, timely euthanasia, and non-ambulatory cattle care.
